Despite a challenging year in startup land for everyone out there, our members continued to reach incredible milestones in the back half of 2023. Here are just a few noteworthy updates from our incredible community of founders.
Announcements
Folio, software for short-term rental hosts to streamline their operations and boost revenues, recently released a new feature that allows guests of vacation rentals to purchase additional products and services directly on the Folio platform.
As of January 1 this year, Piction Health is now in-network for 3.1M people across New England.
Sustainability focused Rapt was featured in WGBH’s story about how to reduce waste during the holidays.
AppMap now has over 80k+ developers installed and recently announced $10M in fresh funding. They will also be returning to the TechCrunch startup stage for a second year in a row.
Veracity launched a new drug-free all natural weight loss supplement Metabolism Ignite that has has had incredible traction in the past few months. They are very excited to bring this safe alternative that helps balance hormones to achieve weight loss goals.
Hue recently expanded their offerings into bodycare and haircare - launched with John Legend’s bodycare brand, Loved01 Skin and Ceremonia, the first Latina-owned haircare brand in Sephora. They also brought on fashion/beauty industry executives to their Customer Advisory Board (from Alo Yoga, IPSY, Function of Beauty, and Tourneau Bucherer) and were featured in Inc: Future of Site Design. Finally, two of the founders were recently selected for Google for Startups Accelerator and as a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow.
SXD’s work with Climate Refugees has become a chapter in the textbook "Accelerating Sustainability in Fashion, Clothing, and Textiles"
VAWAA - a global marketplace to book 1-1 apprenticeships with master artists worldwide, catering to those seeking creative inspiration - had tremendous growth this past year and has almost doubled revenues.
In 2023 Mai Vino launched in chain retail for the first time - Sprouts Florida (42 Stores), Natural Grocers Colorado (38 Stores), Fresh Direct, and Whole Foods Colorado (8 stores). In 2024 Q1 Mai Vino is looking forward to launching in Target Colorado (24 stores) via Diverse Powered Brands and Sprouts California.
VOW recently announced that its Guest Management Platform can now host floor plans with up to 10,000 seats and guests, perfect for theaters and stadiums, while allowing its professional customers to move around such grand scale floor plans without collapsing seating. The first of its kind!

Mai Vino recently released their newest product, Amber (Orange Wine, Skin-Contact White Wine) and are also excited to announce that they will be launching Mai Vino in 38 Natural Grocers in Colorado by the end of July, and Fresh Direct before the end of 2023.
Micrographia Bio is a deeptech techbio company based in London building a new microscope to enable spatial proteomics for drug discovery. Their new microscope was used in a customer collaboration for the first time this past Quarter, helping a family of two boys (aged 3, 5) with an ultra-rare terminal illness find new avenues that can be used to screen for mitochondrial health. MGB is open for future collaborations with drug hunting biotech and pharma companies.
A new feature was recently launched at Brij to do SMS rebates that are delivered through a QR code and/or by social, email, or influencer with a URL and it will automatically rebate customers through Venmo. It’s retailer agnostic and can be used to drive sell-through anywhere and everywhere. Check out the announcement & details here.

PathSpot won the National Restaurant Association’s Kitchen Innovation Award for 2023!
Rootine was recognized in Fast Company's 2023 World Changing Ideas in the wellness category (press release here). Rootine's innovative approach to personal health ranks as a category leader changing preventative care.
MemoryWell had the BBC fly over the pond to Maine to produce this radio piece and this TV piece on their work with nursing homes there!
HumanFirst’s CEO Andy Coravos was cited in Forbes magazine in the article AI Poised To Revolutionize Drug Development about the prevalence of AI in Biomarkers.
Numina’s Tara Pham was recently on a panel at the White House with experts to discuss intersection safety, as the country seeks to address its traffic violence crisis, wherein pedestrian fatalities have increased 70% since 2010. This panel is at ~1:30 in the recording of the session.
SXD won the Global Change Award as the sole Design category winner. This award is known as The Nobel Prize of Fashion.
